This 5-day Sri Lanka tour explores some of the island’s most iconic cultural, hill country, and wildlife destinations. From ancient cave temples to scenic train rides and national park safaris, this journey offers a well-rounded introduction to Sri Lanka’s heritage, landscapes, and wildlife.
Your adventure begins with a visit to the remarkable Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient Buddhist murals and statues carved into rock caves. Continue to the legendary Sigiriya Rock Fortress, where you’ll explore the remains of a royal palace rising dramatically above the surrounding plains.
In Kandy, experience traditional Sri Lankan culture with a vibrant dance performance and visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. The journey continues through the misty highlands on one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys from Kandy to Ella, passing tea plantations, valleys, and mountain scenery.
Your trip also includes visits to the famous Nine Arch Bridge, Ravana Falls, and a safari in Udawalawe National Park, where elephants, birds, and other wildlife roam freely. The tour concludes in Colombo before your departure.
Your flight arrives in Sri Lanka and your driver will meet you at the airport for the transfer to Dambulla. After arriving at your hotel and checking in, you will have time to relax before starting your first sightseeing experience.
In the afternoon, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site consisting of five caves filled with Buddha statues and ancient murals. Later, enjoy a rural village tour where you experience local life with a canoe trip, bullock cart ride, tuk-tuk ride, and traditional Sri Lankan food.

After breakfast, travel to the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an ancient 5th-century palace built on top of a 200-meter-high rock column. Explore the fortress complex, including the gardens, frescoes, and the famous Lion’s Paw entrance.
Continue the journey to Kandy. In the evening, attend a cultural dance performance featuring traditional Sri Lankan music and dancers. Afterwards, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic for evening ceremonies and take a peaceful walk around Kandy’s central lake.

After breakfast, depart Ella and stop at several famous attractions along the way. Visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, a 91-meter-long colonial-era railway bridge surrounded by jungle and tea plantations.
Continue with a hike to Little Adam’s Peak for panoramic views over Ella’s hill country. Stop at Ravana Falls, a beautiful three-tiered waterfall set within thick forest. Later, enjoy a wildlife safari in Udawalawe National Park where you may see elephants, sloth bears, water birds, and other wildlife before continuing to Colombo.
