On LankaHop, there are 3 types of guides/drivers available:
Professional licensed guides – provide both guiding and driving services.
Professional licensed guides (site-specific) – provide guiding services in a particular location or attraction.
Driver-only guides – provide only driving services, without professional guiding.
💡 Tip: Prices vary depending on the type of service. Licensed guides who also drive generally charge more than driver-only providers. Full details are shown on each Guide/Driver listing.
From the Home Page or the Menu, click/tap Guide/Driver or go directly to 👉 Guide/Driver Search.
Select your location, and optionally your travel dates, then hit Search.
Listings will show:
The guide/driver’s first name
Whether they are a licensed guide, driver, or both
Country flags showing spoken languages
Day or hourly price
You can also filter by spoken language.
Once you find a suitable candidate, click/tap to open their profile page where you can read details, inquire, or book.
Licensed guides will have a badge/label on their profile and usually charge higher rates due to their qualifications.
