This 6-day Sri Lanka scenic heritage tour explores the island’s cultural landmarks, misty hill country, and tropical coastal landscapes. The journey begins in Colombo before heading into the cultural heart of Kandy, then continuing to the cool highlands of Nuwara Eliya, and finally the coastal town of Bentota.
During the tour, you will visit some of Sri Lanka’s most important cultural and natural attractions including the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, lush botanical gardens, tea plantations, and scenic waterfalls. You will also explore the charming colonial atmosphere of Nuwara Eliya, enjoy adventure rafting in Kitulgala, cruise along the Madu River mangroves, and discover the historic Dutch colonial streets of Galle Fort.
The journey combines heritage, nature, wildlife, and coastal experiences, offering a balanced introduction to Sri Lanka’s diverse landscapes and traditions. With comfortable accommodation, guided sightseeing, and cultural experiences such as the Kandyan dance performance, this tour provides an engaging way to experience the island’s hill country, rivers, and historic towns.
You'll get picked up at the airport or from your Colombo hotel and head to Kandy. Once there, start at the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which is one of the world's oldest Buddhist temples and a significant pilgrimage site.
After that, spend some time relaxing by Kandy Lake before moving on to the Gem Museum to learn about Sri Lanka's gemstone industry. In the afternoon, head up to Kandy View Point for panoramic views across the city. By evening, you'll catch a cultural dance presentation featuring traditional Kandyan performances. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.

After breakfast, travel to Nuwara Eliya and check out Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden, which is one of Asia's largest gardens with bamboo groves, rare orchids, and features like a Javan fig tree and suspension bridge.
Later you'll head to a tea plantation and factory to see how tea gets cultivated and processed, with tastings included. On the way, stop at Ramboda Waterfalls where water drops 109 meters down a cliff. Before heading to your hotel, visit a colorful Hindu temple that shows the town's cultural variety. Dinner and overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

You'll navigate through various rapids with twists and turns while taking in scenery like towering cliffs and lush green forest walls along the river. This gives you a real rush of adrenaline in a beautiful setting. After the rafting, continue on to Bentota. Dinner and overnight there.
